The Government of the Netherlands websites must be easy to access for everyone. If you do have difficulty accessing a page, please let us know.
Government website accessibility standards
You must be able to easily find, use and view all Government of the Netherlands websites. To ensure this, Central Government applies the international standard for digital and online accessibility.
The Wet digitale overheid (Digital Government Act, in Dutch) stipulates that all government websites (and apps) must comply with the accessibility requirements. This concerns the level-A and AA success criteria from the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2.
Platform Rijksoverheid Online
This website is part of Platform Rijksoverheid Online (PRO) and complies with the main technical requirements. If a deviation is detected, the creators of PRO will solve this for all websites.
The content of the website must comply with multiple editorial accessibility requirements. Each individual website’s editorial team is responsible for this.
