If you suspect that electrical or electronic equipment (EEE) contains more hazardous substances than permitted under the RoHS Directive, you can notify the Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT).

When to notify the ILT

  • As an organisation that produces, imports or distributes EEE, you must notify the ILT immediately about any electrical or electronic device that does not comply with the RoHS Directive. Your notification may concern a product from your own company or another company.
  • As a consumer who uses EEE, you are not required to notify the ILT, but are encouraged to.

Required attachments

You must upload several attachments with your online notification. Please gather the following documents before starting your notification:

  • A photo or scan of the product, markings, or other characteristics.
  • Additional documentation, such as the EU declaration of conformity and test reports.
