Commercial Cruising Vessels (CCVs) navigating the waterways of the Netherlands must comply with specific requirements. The Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT) oversees compliance.
Commercial Cruising Vessels (CCVs) are:
- Seagoing passenger ships.
- Longer than 12 metres.
- Intended for commercial use.
- Designed and built for recreational use by passengers.
- Either predominantly mechanically powered, carrying a maximum of 12 passengers,
- Or predominantly sail-powered, carrying a maximum of 36 passengers.
