For the Long Range Identification and Tracking (LRIT) of seagoing vessels, equipment is required. These SOLAS requirements apply to:
- (High-speed) passenger vessels.
- (High-speed) cargo vessels of 300 gross tonnage and above.
- Mobile offshore drilling units.
