Course Completion Certificate guidelines

If you want to apply for a pilot licence, you need a Course Completion Certificate demonstrating that you have successfully completed the relevant training. The approved training organisation (ATO) issues the Course Completion Certificate. These guidelines set out the requirements the certificate must meet to be accepted by the Civil Aviation Authority the Netherlands (CAA NL).

CPL(A) application

If you have successfully completed an ATP Integrated, CPL/IR Integrated, CPL Integrated or CPL Modular training course, you must complete the Course Completion Certificate CPL(A) form made available by CAA NL.

The Course Completion Certificate CPL(A) form is available as a pdf. Complete it and upload it as an attachment to the online form Application for a pilot licence for aeroplanes (A), helicopters (H), balloons (B) and gyroplanes (GS).

Other applications

For all other licence, rating or remarks applications, the Course Completion Certificate must include the following:

  • Candidate’s name.
  • Candidate’s date of birth, reference number or burgerservicenummer, bsn (citizen service number, BSN).
  • Type of training completed: modular or integrated, initial issue or renewal.
  • Verification of the entry requirements for the training, if applicable.
  • Start and end dates of the training, if applicable.
  • ATO or DTO approval number or the instructor’s licence number.
  • Date of issue.
  • Head of Training’s signature.
  • Stamp or logo of the training organisation.
  • Specification of the flight time during training, for example: total, dual, solo, SPIC, aircraft, FTD, etc.
  • Specification of reductions or exemptions applied, referencing the relevant legal provision, if applicable.
