There are over 200 certified historic passenger sailing ships (in Dutch) in the Netherlands.
These ships must comply with the same rules and regulations as other passenger sailing ships on inland waterways in the Netherlands. The same applies to their skippers and crews.
For historic passenger sailing ships that also sail at sea under the Dutch flag, the rules and regulations for sea-going vessels apply too. There are specific rules for sea-going vessels up to 12 metres (in Dutch) that sail under the Dutch flag.
