Revalidating helicopter pilot licence ratings and remarks
If your helicopter pilot licence with ratings and remarks are about to expire, you can apply to revalidate them. You can apply for revalidation of your ratings and remarks in the Netherlands through the Civil Aviation Authority the Netherlands (CAA NL), part of the Human Environment and Transport Inspectorate (ILT).
How you revalidate ratings and remarks depends upon your specific situation.
You can revalidate ratings and remarks by passing a proficiency check or completing refresher training.
If the instructor or examiner endorses your current valid licence by writing the new expiry date of the rating(s) and remark(s) on the back of your current licence the revalidation will be free of charge.
If the instructor or examiner does not endorse your current valid licence by writing the new expiry date of the rating(s) and remark(s) on the back of your current licence the revalidation will be charged accordingly.
A proficiency check can be used to revalidate all class and type ratings.
Refresher training can be used to revalidate the following ratings: SEP and SET.
